Another lesson Eddie learned is forgiveness. Eddie learned to forgive the people he loved and the other people he barely knew. For guinea pig he forgave the captain for making him a cripple. It is one of the hardest lessons for Eddie to learn because there were a lot of people in his life that needed forgiveness. Eddie at last had forgiven his father.
